Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)


Columbia Medical Associates is seeking Full-time Licensed Independent Clinical Social Workers as part of our Behavioral Health Department to be located within primary care clinics. We offer competitive pay and excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision and PTO.  

The master social work position provides clinical and consultation work as part of the multi-disciplinary treatment team. Duties involve functioning as a member of the team in delivering clinical services to patients in the family practice setting. Provide appropriate social work interventions to all age patients, and their families. Exercise considerable independence of judgment in the application of social work skills to an identified caseload of clients with individual and/or family problems requiring a variety of intervention and service techniques and skills.

This is a great position for a dynamic, detail-oriented individual with experience.  You must have a positive attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.  Excellent customer services skills are a must.

  • Experience: Two years in clinical service delivery with persons with mental or behavioral health needs. Experience working in primary care or other medical settings. Experience with Problem-Solving Treatment –Primary Care model for short term intervention is desired. Additional experience with:
    • Crisis Intervention
    • Short-Term, Solutions Based Counseling 6-8 sessions
    • Brief Interventions for Behavioral Activation
    • Clinical case consultation
    • End of life/ Advance Directive Care Planning
    • Suicide Risk Assessment
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: Social case management, conflict resolution, and team building practices. Familiarity with Microsoft Office. Familiarity with documentation, billing and regulatory requirements specific to LICSW. 
  • Education: Masters Degree; Masters of Social Work (MSW)
